The youth of America have been President Obama’s number one supporters since 2008. Youth are easily blinded by Obama’s mesmerizing speeches, and his, “Hope and Change” which makes them an easy target for the Administration. Little do the blind youth know, Obama is the one leading us down the road to failure, and crushing our most prized possessions while he is at it, freedom and liberty. If we continue down the road we are on, our country will not sustain for the future. (Too bad the future is not worried about saving America.
Ever since October 5th,I have been haunted with the decision of who to support in 2012. I have had to reevaluate the qualifications necessary to take on the Presidency, along with vet each and every GOP candidate. Whenever I think I have chosen who to support I then take their records and put them next to Governor Sarah Palin’s, they can barely even stand.
On Tuesday October 5th all Palin’s supporter’s hearts were a little broken. We all had our hopes set high, and prepared ourselves for the best, but when we heard Governor Palin’s Statement, read by Mark Levin, our hearts sank. Many of us expected a, “Gotcha” to come afterwards, but we were then met with reality. Governor Palin was and is not going to run for President in 2012.
Most everyone remembers where they were on September 11, 2001, sadly, I am no exception. I was 6 years old, and in Kindergarten. I remember my Principle coming into our classroom and whispering in my teacher’s ear. My teacher immediately turned on the news, despite her better judgment, and all of sudden a world that seemed so perfect to me, was now shattered by the horrific footage being displayed on the TV screen. Part of me wonders if seeing that footage lead me to my strong Love and Patriotism for America, but at that point I was a 6 year old terrified of what I was being exposed to, evil at its greatest extent.
What if we lived in a world that no one cared about what “their group” was telling them to do, and instead they just did what was right? Everyone knows the phrase, “Birds of a feather, flock together.” But why do we let that define us? Why are we not willing to work across the aisle? This is an everyday issue, and in the political world it is extremely evident. It is time we end this bi-partisanship. We must fight for what is right, no matter who the opposition is.
This past week an opportunity arose that allowed me to attend a Michele Bachmann event, and though it was a great experience, I was not deterred of my love for Governor Palin. As I sat and watched Representative Bachmann speak on her plans for America, I was directly in line with her conservative points, but there was something missing. It was the same thing that is missing in all of the Candidates. But that something is the one thing Governor Palin has … Leadership.
